Composite railings produced by NCC were installed during the construction of the Left bank junction of the Presidential Bridge in Ulyanovsk.

The Presidential Bridge is one of the five longest bridges in Russian Federation, its length is 5825 meters. It is a combined metal double girder bridge over the Volga River, connecting the right-bank and left-bank parts of the city of Ulyanovsk and Ulyanovsk region. More than 700 meters of composite railings and composite stair approaches produced by NCC were installed along the left bank section of the bridge. The traffic on the left-bank junction of the Presidential Bridge in Ulyanovsk was opened on August 25.

"The Presidential bridge is the most important infrastructure project for Ulyanovsk, a number of innovative technologies were applied during its realization including the installation of high-tech composite barrier railings on the bridge produced by NCC " - commented Evgeniy Rafailov, the Head of Sales Department of Nanotechnology Center of Composites.


The supply of composite railings to the object was carried out by a key partner of NCC - trade and production company "Standartpark", the largest manufacturer and supplier of complex solutions for collection, treatment and drainage of water, engineering equipment for buildings, artificial structures and landscaping.

Composite railings are traditionally used on bridges and overpasses as a substitute for metal ones. Composite railings produced by NCC have a number of significant advantages over metal ones: low weight, corrosion resistance, actual absence of maintenance costs during exploitation, durability and ease of replacement of structural elements.
