Composite handrails and drainage gutters produced by NCC were installed on the new section of the Central Ring Road.

The traffic on the new sections of the Central Ring Road was opened on December 28, 2020. Over 9 km of composite railing barriers produced by NCC and 9 km of composite drainage systems (gutters) produced by NCC were installed along 23.8 km of the Central Ring Road-1.

Earlier the NCC handrailings and drainage gutters were already installed on the section of the Central Ring Road-3. The significant increase of the production volume of these products in the Nanotechnological Center of Composites became possible due to the modernization and expansion of the production, application of modern technological solutions that significantly reduced the production cycle of the products.

Composite handrails and drainage gutters are traditionally used as a replacement of metal ones on bridges and overpasses. NCC composite products have a number of significant advantages: low weight, corrosion resistance, actual absence of maintenance costs during operation, durability and ease of replacement of structural elements.

Nanotechnology Center for Composites (NCC) today is a leading player in the market of composites, carrying out the full cycle of development and production of products from polymer composite materials: design and strength calculations, material development, tooling production, prototyping, testing and certification. The basis of the NCC assortment is formed by: external reinforcement system CarbonWrap, composite railings and drainage systems, composite profiles, mobile road surfaces, sprinklers and water traps for cooling towers, protective cases for gas pipelines, as well as a wide range of products made of fiberglass and carbon fiberglass, made according to individual orders.
