Definition:

Fiberglass assembly is a supporting overhead system designed to hold current-carrying and supporting trolley. Nowadays mainly metal assemblies are used, which means that there must be nodes for isolation. Since fiberglass belongs to a class of dielectric materials, composite assembly itself is an insulator, which can first of all simplify its design (by deleting the isolation nodes). In addition, due to the small mass (approximately 1.5 times less than steel), the use of fiberglass assembly significantly reduces the load on the pole and also simplifies installation and reduces the shipping costs.

Advantages:

  • dielectric properties
  • light weight
  • corrosion resistance

Fields of application:

  • City electric transport
